TDM (1): Discussion over the network where Takasugi ropes Rinne into forming an idol group with the full intentions of using him.
Why is Rinne crying over a dumb text? This is stupid. This guy's probably not even thinking too hard about what he's saying. Rinne shouldn't be this weak. But after losing all his fans and giving up his dreams, learning that he can still be himself and do it all over again means everything to him, and this random person on the network doesn't even know.
TDM (2): Takasugi beckons Rinne into his room in the Valentia, where-in Rinne asks Takasugi for a favor.
"... You're a funny guy, Amagi-kun. I give you money, pull you along, and then you buy into every word from a guy who says he's a dead hero from a part of the island that's totally different from where you grew up. Which I am, by the way. That Takasugi Shinsaku, from beyond the dead to ensure this world's humanity finds salvation. But I didn't reach out to you because I thought you were useless."
INBOX: A duo performance in the park that leads to disaster. Rinne scampers off afterwards to avoid doing something untoward to Takasugi in his half-shift.
But the fear of being vulnerable loses to the comfort that comes with Takasugi's soft fur, especially as he's made to face him. Oh, god. The scent is bad enough, but seeing his face just makes Rinne want to tear into him more. He pushes Takasugi's hand away to pick up his guitar.
INBOX: Takasugi "breaks" into Rinne's room to sleep in his scent where it's comfortable. The ensuring conversation is the spark to which Takasugi finds Rinne completely captivating beyond his words for the first time. Rinne asks for Sakamoto Ryouma's gun.

While attempting to calm the shaken Rinne, everything changes for their future interactions as a heated argument leads to Takasugi smashing their faces together in a kiss to win the encounter.

Yet Rinne doesn't anticipate the ease with which Takasugi admits his thoughts, nor does he expect the gasp, shiver, and heat that comes with Takasugi's touch. There's never a warning shot from this man. Maybe that's his strength. Even now, Rinne feels unworthy to be holding the gun of a hero. There are so many people much more capable than he. He can't possibly take someone else's life over his. What if his truth isn't good enough to justify that?
INBOX: Takasugi doing his hardest not to outright say, "Amagi-kun, I need to sleep enveloped in your scent because it helps keep the murderous nightmares away!!"
As he reaches back to undo his hair tie, strands of red cascading across his back, Takasugi's gaze doesn't stray from Rinne's face—the charming framing of his cheeks, or the way darker locks of hair caress his neck. INBOX: Rinne manages to convince Takasugi to take him out for a night of drinking, even though he’s the one footing the bill. As the drinks flow, Takasugi impulsively kisses Rinne in a playful moment. Rinne then confesses that he's decided to love him from the moment he sang for him months back. This revelation shakes Takasugi, and he finds himself falling for Rinne more deeply.
Think about him forever? He's thinking about him now, a man who couldn't read or write until a couple years past, struggling in a place so foreign. What had that even been like? Takasugi can't imagine, his past filled with texts stacked on top of each other, his family lining up his supposed success since birth. INBOX: Rinne heads into the city for a work trip to get a second opinion from Takasugi on their idol uniform. They find themselves in a dressing room together, where Rinne accidentally hits a nerve, sparking some intense emotions. Rinne brings up his little brother, while Takasugi gets drawn into discussing his mentor. Takasugi listens intently and teases Rinne with touches, which stirs up some attraction in a secluded space.
